The world has seen some of the best ultimate guitars and music icons.  Each one of us has our own favorite guitarists and has inspired us over the years with their music.

They may be from different countries and speak different languages and carry a unique style of their own, but what binds them together are those chords of guitar and notes.  Let us try to know some of these world’s ultimate guitars.

Gary Moore

Robert William Gary Moore was born in1952 in Belfast and was a Northern Irish musician. He is recognized as a world-famous singer and ultimate guitar and has played with artists like Brian Downey and Phil Lynott. Gary Moore died at the age of 58 in 2011 of a heart attack.
his ultimate Guitar:
He bought 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard in 1970from Peter Green. He used Gibson Les Paul Standard while recording “Still Got the Blues”. Some other guitars used by him are Fender Stratocaster, pink Stratocaster, Gibson ES-355TD/SVGibson ES-355. He loved his Acoustic Guitars and found them excellent. He had black 12 string, just two of these in the whole world. The other one was with Greg Lake. He also had ix string semi-jazz model.


Bruce Springsteen

Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen is an American singer-songwriter who was born in 1949. He is also referred to as The Boss. He was famous for his poetic lyrics and energetic stage performances. His rock albums and folk-oriented works are popular all over the world. He is known as the 96th Greatest ultimate guitar. He has won 20 Grammy Awards, 2 Golden Globe Awards, and an Academy Award.

Bruce Springsteen played banjo, piano, autoharp, pump organ, and ukel apart from the guitar. He started playing guitar after watching Elvis on The Ed Sullivan Show.  He bought his first guitar for $18 at the age of 13. Later he bought Kent a guitar for $60. He was the lead guitarist of The Castiles.


Syd Barrett

Syd Barrett was an English singer who was born in 2006. He was a painter, guitarist and songwriter. But he is best remembered for as the founder of the band Pink Floyd. He recorded four singles with Pink Floyd and started off a solo career in 1969 with the release of “Octopus”.

Syd had his own influences like everyone else. He was an influential ultimate guitarist. He used 50-watt Selmer Truvoice Treble n’ Bass 50 Mk II by the end of 1966. Onstage, he used a Stereomaster guitar and Selmer Goliath cabinets with Pink Floyd. He also experimented with Vox Tone-Bender pedal and Fender Stratocaster. He was one of the first British guitarists to use a Selmer wah pedal.


Slash one of Ultimate Guitars

Slash, his real name Paul Hudson was born in 1965, is a British-American musician. He is famous as the lead guitarist of Guns N’ Roses and songwriter. He has released two solo albums and received critical acclaim as a guitarist. He made waves recently in 2012  by receiving initiation into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and helping in a partial Guns N’ Roses reunion. The guitarist has been at the top for several decades now.

Robert Alan or Robby is an American rock guitarist who was born in 1946. He is also a songwriter and has written some of the best songs such as Touch Me, Love Me Two Times, just to name a few. He ranks at number 91 among the 100 greatest guitarists in the Rolling Stone’s list. His songs from the Doors have been used in film soundtracks sine the 1970s. His guitar is handy in quite a number of musical genres.

He loved the electric guitar when he saw Chuck and got this great old Magnatone from a pawnshop called Ace Loans in Santa Monica that specialized in guitars. His new SG is kind of hybrid of ’67 Standard and a ’61 SG. Some other guitars used by him are Magnatone amp, P-90s,etc. He has been playing more of flamenco lately.


Tom Morello

Thomas Baptiste Morello, his complete name, is an American guitarist and was born in 1964. Street Sweeper Social Club is his most recent group and he is best known for his term with the bands Rage Against the Machine.

He got interested in music while in high school. He studied at Harvard and founded Rage Against the Machine. He is famous for his creative and unique style of playing  guitar  as well as using heavy guitar effects.

John Mayer is an American pop and was born in 1977. He achieved multi-platinum status with his first two studio albums. He won a Grammy Award in 2003, for Best Male Pop Vocal. He started his career performing mainly acoustic rock. He has sold over 20 million albums worldwide. He is a great blues guitar player as well as a great singer also.

Jack White an American and born in 1975. He is a record producer, singer-songwriter, musician, actor and multi-instrumentalist. He was best known as guitarist and pianist of The White Stripes. He released Blunderbuss, his debut solo album, in 2012. He ranks No. 70 The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time. He was awarded Nashville Music City Ambassador title in 2011.. James Patrick or Jimmy Page was born in 1944.He is an English musician and is well known as songwriter, record producer as well as he gathered  fame as guitarist of the rock band Led Zeppelin. By the mid-1960s, he became the most adored session guitarist in the UK. He founded Led Zeppelin in late 1968. He is one of the most influential guitarists and ranks at number two in Gibson’s list of Top 50 Guitarists.
