Before I tell you about that little thing, I wanna share my experience with you how I came to know. I never knew this either but one day my colleague asked me, since he is from a different professional background, and I could not answer him, in fact become a little curios to know, honestly little embarrassed too. Being a fashion designer I keep following fashion trends and latest industry norms and terminologies but sometimes few things are around us that for years from our lifetime we keep using or experiencing them and we do not know about them. This was one example, than now I start gathering notes about things around me and things that I still do not know.

So coming back to the point, so you don’t leave reading this, Aglet is the name of that thing! The word Aglet comes from old French language ‘Aguillette’ that means needle. Aglet is used to protect or lock the end of a shoelace, so it does not wear out. As a matter of fact all of them do break one day or you find it’s no more on the shoelace.
