Heard this song when I was very young, don’t remember where. Didn’t even know anything about this but it leaves a great impact back in my mind and soul. It’s melodious rhythmic theme line, it made me go with it, and later on got faded out. After so many years, when You Tube developed and I finally visited it, it strikes my mind at first to dig out the ones that are no more in my existing records, but still on my top wish list, and there we go! This was the first one I looked for, and that was the most joyous time for me.
You may now play it while reading the rest of the story, and do share your experience.

“English Version”

This song “A Song of Joy” (Himno a la alegría) can change anyone’s mood no matter what you were into at that time. There is something really affective in it, not sure what but it does has the power to take you away from the materialistic world we are living in or the routine boring life. The more you listen to it, the more you absorb it, none of the other songs has ever laid an impact like this on me.

“It does make you happy if you are sad, and it does make you excited if you are down.”

Its lyrics, which describe the real picture of love and affection, you can or you could have in your lifetime. Once you get in the depth of it, it really brings You out of you.

Miguel Rios – The Ultimate Artist

This is a Rock Song composed by a Spanish singer “Miguel Rios” who was a very popular singer from the period of 1960’s and 70’s and he was an actor too. This song was inspired and extracted from the final movement of Ludwig Van Beethoven’s ‘Ninth Symphony’

When Miguel Rios composed this song, it became popular like a fire in the forest, across the whole America, Australia, Germany, Switzerland and Canada, and reached on the top list in various Music Charts, this single song was sold around 4 million copies worldwide and gained enormous reputation from around the world.

There was no other song by Miguel Rios that hits the Top Lists of any Music Charts, but after this one master piece, he also became an ultimate singer in the history of the music, and here it is to give a big tribute to him.

Lyrics of “A Song of Joy”

Come sing a song of joy for peace shall come, my brother
Sing, sing a song of joy for men shall love each other.

That day will dawn just as sure as hearts that are pure,
Are hearts set free. No man must stand alone
With outstretched hand before him.

Reach out and take them in yours with love
That endures forevermore. Then sing a song of joy
For love and understanding.

Come sing a song of joy of freedom tell the story.
Sing, sing a song of joy for mankind in his glory.
One mighty voice that will bring a sound
That will ring forevermore.
Then sing a song of joy for love and understanding.

Come sing a song of joy of freedom tell the story.
Sing, sing a song of joy for mankind in his glory.
One mighty voice that will bring a sound
That will ring forevermore.

Dangerous Sports

Humans have very unique trends built-in their nature. The opportunities either refine them or exaggerate them adversely in extremes of good and bad, love and hate, selflessness and selfishness, and above all the ultimate intolerance of others and self suicidal. It is noticed that the more developed societies are adopting extreme positions in their lifestyles. The less fortunate societies generally prefer midway options or have no choice at all.

The Old and Modern Sports: People had less mechanization and communication facilities and therefore less leisure. The sports encouraged fair play and had well defined safety standards. The basic idea behind was to promote physical fitness and a healthy body for all age groups. Latter more competitions induced professional players. The games then lost their calm atmosphere. Today some most advanced societies are encouraging very rough and pain inflicting trends in their most popular sports and games that kill hundreds of participants every year. We must THINK to find the causes and again THINK how to reduce these damaging trends.

The modern space and computer age has increased the development pace faster than the societies, as a whole, can really adjust to or fully understand its utilization, accept a few. The new technologies are promoting tremendous convenience in our lifestyles. The priority goals are being achieved much quicker, than a century earlier such as a house, stable handsome income, distant travelling in no time, ample leisure time and all worldly enjoyments that are accessible to all including wealth, women and wine. Fulfillment of basic needs leave nothing more to be desired in the developed world.

The human nature is also designed to promote self-prominence, self-respect, to be ranked top class, to lead others, to race ahead of others and to achieve the ultimate feats that stay recorded unbeaten for long. More recently devilish selfish trends have propped up To DICTATE and ACQUIRE, what is desired by ‘Hook or by Crook’. This attains personal satisfaction and is the result of the increasing leisure time that keeps the mind VACANT for long and renders it devils’ playground. The devil knows all intricate tricks to fool us and lead us to our self destruction.

The Japanese have an increasing trend of committing suicides. Having satisfied all the worldly desires and nothing more to achieve, they consider it the bravest act. The dangerous sports and life-risking exposures of ourselves to the extremes for the sake of momentary pleasures and “CHANGE”, means the same. We have nothing more to achieve, so who cares what happens.

Base Jumping

This is the most dangerous of sports to participate in. The person has no control or check on his performance. All depends on the parachute. Jumpers are simply blind-betting their life on whether the chute opens or not. The result could only be a safe landing or sure death. Statistics show that base jumping has consumed over 180 lives since start around 1980.

BAJA 1000 (Mexico and California)

The dune buggies, motorcycles and hundreds of non-conventional vehicles experience a 24 hour dune bump ride that includes numerous blind turns, channel crossing, wild terrain and unlimited thrills of the rugged and unfriendly track that stretches across 1000 miles. The cheering viewers also increase the menace by ditches and throwing objects on the track course. The film “Dust and GLORY” illustrates the horrors faced by the racing drivers and their companions. The few surviving vehicles and humans show signs of extreme shake-up to a near breakup condition.

Iditarod

Iditarod is also known as the “Last Great Race”. The rough Alaskan ice terrain is always changing its shape across the 1150 miles track that crosses mountains, tundra, and snow forests. The Dog-sled racers face temperatures of minus 50 degrees and strong cold winds. The organizers of this brutal race simply ignore the high count of the dogs that die during the races. The race participants suffer snow-bites, bruised or broken ribs, and legs, broken bones and concussions. Seldom people finish the race unsheathed. So far only about 700 people have reached the FINISH LINE while Mount Everest has been surpassed by more people.

Isle Of Man Tourist Trophy, Isle of man, U.K.

The high speed motorcycle race is run along the narrow pathways, streets and stone lined tracks of the 33 miles-by-13 miles island. In 1907 the original track was designed for bicycle racing. Latter on the motorcycles were introduced. The modern fast racing machines have made it very hazardous as the old fashioned tracks cannot accommodate the super speeds and this is why about 200 racers have lost their lives so far.

Ruggby

The world’s most roughest and brutal contact sport has the least protective gear. This is regarded as the maximum injury prone game. The vicious tackling produces far more broken bones, torn muscles and concussions than even marshal arts. The totally absorbed players don’t stop till exhausted by injuries.

Photo by Cleve Under 14s Steve Dando

Cave Diving

The diver dives down about 100 feet into an unknown pitch completely at the mercy of the conditions underneath the surface. The base-jumper’s safe landing depends on the parachute opening while cave divers’ return depends upon what he discovers below. The risks range from spinal-cord, brain and lungs failure, breathing problems besides unfriendly creatures’ attach. Reportedly over 500 have died since the first such dive in 1960.

Rock Climbing

Rock climbing is a very tough and courageous sport but carries a high death toll rate. The spirits and strength are at the optimum level when ascending. These are at the lowest level when descending. The slippery tracks and climatic changes and fatigue make retrieve hazardous. Medical help is almost impossible up there while helicopter assistance is always uncertain. The insurance classification rates this sport at category 5 which is next to naked knife sports. About 20 lives are claimed each year in the U.S.A. alone.

Lawn Bowls

Lawn Bowls is a really popular men and women’s game but most dangerous as well. This game is the highest death claimer worldwide. The players are deeply involved in the game till their last breath. They stop at nothing short of victory, in their pursuit. Those who escape death end up with bruises, torn knees, broken hips and bone fractures. The game generates extreme stresses resulting in strokes and even heart attach.

Big Wave Surfing

Wave surfing is great fun and gives unlimited achievement joy. Surfers with a lot of guts and high level of alertness can only risk riding the giant 50 feet water walls. These monster waves can off-set life for miles deep into the coastlines. The huge force can kill the surfers or burry them deep underwater to drown or smash onto hidden rocks. If the board-hinge sticks they are pulled along with a force that can bulldoze complete house structures in seconds. Often sharks are drawn in that increases the hazards. People regard big wave surfing as very dangerous by bikini-clad girls and their rescuers, when wave intensity persists. Most of the rescued survivors stay paralyzed for months, if lucky to avoid sharks.

Bull Riding

Bull riding was entirely associated with Old Western Ranching activities. In the beginning fairs and some sort of cattle/bull gymnastics laid the basis of the bull riding that we see today. This sport is painful for the animal as its genitals are tied to make it more ferocious. The bull exhausts its energy by hurling its 1700 lbs. weight twisting, leaping and tossing the rider, at times 10 feet up in the air. The rider’s abilities reflect how he manures his fall whether back on the animal or on the one inch layer of dust cushion on the ground. The ultimate fate of the rider depends on the posture of landing. He is lucky if he does not hit the ground flat or get locked on the horns for another big toss. At times the bull gives a horrible chase when the rider lands upright within its reach. Breaking of jaws, ribs and collar-bones is quite common. The other participants help divert the bull’s attention otherwise this sport would involve much bloodshed of the riders.

Cheerleading

The past few decades have seen development of a new joyful but risky trend in sports. The morale lifting is entrusted to dancing girls grouped just outside the field lines. They jump into action at the slightest advantage taken by their team. These girls in skimpy outfits cannot feel the danger instantly. All happens in seconds when team players chasing the ball suddenly change direction or the fast superstars are carried over by their shear body momentum and come banging into these fragile jumping dolls completely unprotected to bear such impacts. The result is obvious. Broken legs, ribs, spinal injuries and bruises are the most common. Reportedly about 20000 cheerleading girls suffer injuries every year worldwide. Much is needed by them safety-wise.

High Altitude Climbing

The high summits have always been challenging and require extreme guts and committed determination to surpass the top 10 highest mountain peaks. Besides the usual climbing dangers, people often have to pass over frozen dead bodies on the way and on steeps, on valley glaciers and in the snow-rivers. Up there every step is final as the gravity also works against climbers. When you reach the top you can enjoy your success. Remember your work is only half done and return will not be an easy trot. UV radiation can harm your eyesight and your this accomplishment can make you careless. One can never think of medical aid, physical rescue or even helicopter assistance which is always uncertain under fast changing climate. The fatality rate is declining but is around one dying for every six summits.

Macau Grand Prix, Macau, China

There are two races organized and over 300 participants attend these events. The motorcycle event is held in the morning while the car race takes place in the evening. The tight city roads form the race track that involves extra thin turns making the whole affair the most dangerous. The riders get killed even in warm-up sessions.

Volvo Ocean Race

The Volvo ocean race is the longest ocean race that covers about 39000 nautical miles in a nine month period. This is also known as the Endurance Challenge race. The tough and long journey through rough seas and oceans has no match. The participation is limited to 8 yachts. These pass freezing and chilling zones, near huge icebergs, encounter relentless and horrifying storms just to mention a few hazards. The race is arranged every three years and each time a new course is adopted. The Somalian pirates have posed another possible dangerous obstacle to it. The race organizers are taking all precautions for safety of the race.

24 Hours Of Le Mans, Le Mans, France

Le Mans is the most dreadful of all the car races in the world. This race was initiated in 1923 and has claimed deaths over 130 so far. The race strategy stresses on the high speed and the number of miles each driver travels in 24 hours. Track-rounds are of lesser consideration. The winners are placed in different categories by classification. In 1955 a Mercedes-Benz driver Pierre Levegh crashed his car into the spectators stand killing himself and 83 visitors, causing major deaths.

Greatest Jewel Thief

Robbers are all ill reputed whether they rob petty amounts or make jumbo robberies, Arthur’s robbing career was unique as his pursuit focused on high class jewels only and targeted rich people. He managed his “job” very neatly without a single killing, injuring or bloodshed incident. He never picked cash and preferred to rob in the presence of his “clients” as he termed. Therefore, “ultimate thief” is the only title that defines his masterly ingenious bold style.

The fearless crusader never spared even the kings relatives and wealthy tycoons were his specialty. Soon his selective strikes on the rich only became famous, being robbed by this “Gentlemen thief” became a status symbol among the elite, but embarrassment for the police and immense headache for the detectives. The experts latter concluded that this genius could have been a successful businessman, Wall Street baron or could do anything that he concentrated upon.

Arthur Barry was born in 1896 in Worcester in an immigrant Irish family consisting of 12 brothers and sisters. All his family members were earning hands like ordinary good people. Arthur matured early and could not adjust to fair trade notions by nature. His this tendency towards steeling and snatching landed him among the wrong experts. His first boss, Lowell Jack, was a Safecracker and made nitroglycerine, a damaging chemical. Arthur was deputed to deliver the goods in adjacent cities. Soon the underworld accepted him.

The Greatest Jewel Thief in the American Criminal History!

Arthur became an active robber at 15 years with the first hit netting $100. After a few hits, he got fed up terming them as unprofitable and disreputable. He put his head down to set his ultimate goal – to rob the elite and notables only and to prefer jewelry only as the stones could easily sell. His main tools for success were his careful preparation and foreseeing all probabilities besides alertness.

Arthur had made his mindset. He was always well dressed and well-spoken. In formal clothes and with his good manners he could walk in any lawn party and mix up with guests. Then he wanders easily into the house to locate jewels hideouts, make floor plans, select exit points and spot alarms.

He was smart enough to walk in anywhere and talk to everybody favorably. Arthur once met King Edward VIII, when he was Prince of Wales, on 59th Street and spent a few hours in light discussions over drinks and becoming somewhat informal. A few days later, a thief entered Long Island home of Prince’s Cousin and leaves with $150’000 worth of jewels. Afterwards he usually separated the stones from gold and silver metals. He could sell only the stones at about 20% of market value. Having no option, he enjoyed flicking away the gold and Silver pieces in the New York Bay while riding a boat.

There are many occasions when the residents woke up. He simple told them to stay calm, hand over the jewels and avoid being hurt. He said people seldom resisted this request. He confirms that his “clients” made wrong statements of jewelry that was stolen and claimed more from insurance companies. He routed to the detectives, at times who passed on the looted stuff to insurance companies at far less amounts than the claims. The insurances saved payment of claims by returning “accidently recovered” stolen jewelry.

He joined the Army in World War I and earned a Silver Star, but went AWOL before he could get it. Back in New York he was back on his “job”. He decided to upgrade his strikes. He noticed wealthy women in shopping malls, casinos and Central Park. He then tracked their cars to their homes. He got address against the car license numbers by calling Police posing as a Police Patrolman. He kept track of weddings or engagement announcements for his homework.

His Few High Profile Feats

For instance in the Livermore’s bedroom Barry woke up Mrs. And Mr. Livermore by flashing light in her eyes. She was frightened and asked “Who is it?” He answered ‘Good evening’ J. L. just don’t move, phone lines are cut. Just handover the jewelry and let us go. Barry emptied the dressing table securing $95’000 worth of gems. He noticed the lady is sitting in her night gown. So Barry put the bathrobe on her shoulders and lighted a cigarette for her to receive her only comments “You are a real devil”. He warned them not to make any outcry and escaped. But before leaving he returned the $15’000 worth little pinky ring gifted by her husband, at her request.

Arthur visited the residence of Mr. Harold E. Tabbott, who later became President Eisenhower’s Secretary of Air Force and took away $23’000 worth of jewels.

In 1925 he silently entered Hotel Plaza in broad daylight and disappeared with $750’000 worth of jewels from a six-room suite of Mrs. James P. Donahue, daughter of F.W. Woolworth. Besides other jewelry taken, there were 5 ropes of pearls, 4 good imitations and one of real pearls. Only the real pearl rope worth $450’000 was picked from the bedroom while Mrs. James sat in the bathtub a few feet away and her maid was in the next room.

Arthur Barry sent chills in Police circles in 1926. He came to know that the New York County Dutchess secured her jewelry in a strong safe weighing 80 kg in her bedroom closet. Barry climbed into the bedroom on a ladder, tip-toed and silently balanced the safe on his shoulders and quietly escaped the same way he had entered.

His Arrest and Escape

Arthur was caught by a tip from a woman out of jealousy. He was basically a ladies’ man and spent most on the stage girls. One of the girls told Police of Livermore burglary and he was sentenced to 25 years jail. He could not stay calm in the Auburn Jail. On 28th July, 1929, he planned and proved the boldest jail creaks in the U. S. prison history. The 1700 convicts are allowed Yard freedom on Sunday to roam about the cell blocks. Barry noticed a prison design error. The ammunition store was located within prison and had only two guards. He prepared a birthday cake at the prison bakery and requested the guard to deliver it to a colleague. As soon as the door opened he poured laundry ammonia on them and dashed to take arms from the store. Barry shouted to all captives to join in jail-breaking. A riot resulted that kept all prison force occupied. Barry and another accomplice side-winked and climbed the prison boundary wall and escaped, but was injured by a bullet.

They were free on the main road nearby. They hijacked a car and abandoned it in an empty garage. They changed into whatever was available and took First Aid. They located another parked car. As they started pushing it silently to the road, a bullet smashed the windshield missing him. His eyes got filled with glass splinters. He forced one eye open by hand and having no choice, started the car and dashed to the road, racing without lights in the night, and half blind and with piercing pain. His companion had vanished at the shootout. Soon the gas ran out. He limped around and felt calm as soon he committed to himself that if he is cured he will not faulter again. He survived the night and during breakfast he realized that nobody around bothered about how he looked, taking him as a drunk. Finally he reached Albany where his friends treated his wounds. He remained a fugitive for 3 years. He settled near Flemington with his wife.

His Re-arrest

In 1932 the local corps and FBI carried out general scrutiny of all the new residents in the area. Although he was not named prime suspect, still detectives called on him severally. A detective pushed him to describe how he would rob Percy Rockefellar house where two damned tough ferocious watch dogs stay unleashed all the time. Although he avoided by all means, still the pressure was too much. Barry meekly confided he would try all types of meat to distract the dogs. The police chief told him that he had tried all this in the last six years busting his brains. Then ultimately he errored to confide that he would tackle these trained dogs by lowering a female dog tied by a rope down the wall. Then go in the house and steel $20’000 worth jewelry. On escape he will lift the female dog with the rope, leaving no evidence.

The Chief was now laughing heftily having squeezed out the truth and promised to send him a gift of cigar box. He did receive the gift —- but in jail. Arthur Barry remained behind bars for the next 17 years. When released he kept his word of not going back to his “job”. He is now honorably employed in his home town at $50 a week. People knew his past and still they elected him commander of a local Veteran’s Organization because of his honesty of purpose.

He replied when questioned “The man from whom I stole the most was Arthur Barry. I could have been a successful businessman, a baron on Wall Street and a contributing member to society but instead I chose a life of a thief, and spent two thirds of my adult life behind prison bars”

The ultimate and legendary thief had been robbing himself all along during his ¬¬over 150 major hits.

The Ultimate Artist

Syed Sadequain Ahmed Naqvi was born in 1930 in Amroha and he died on 10th February in 1987 at the age of 57 years in Karachi, Pakistan.

Sadequain was a world renowned Pakistani Art legend. He was best known for his independent real creative art and novice trends in Islamic Calligraphy. His original superb themes and huge murals dwarf many and some are still regarded as matchless in the world. His international recognition was due to introduction of new initiatives and trends in art and particularly poetic calligraphy which was almost nonexistent then.

He was a self-made, self taught painter, completely untraditional and above all, shows no signs of being inspired by any other master of art who lived before him or at his time.

Sadequain received well deserved decorations.

1960 – Government of Pakistan — “ Tamgha-e-Imtiaz”

1961 – Government of France — “Biennale de Paris”

1962 – President of Pakistan — “President’s Medal of Honor”

1975 – Government of Australia — “Cultural Award”

1980 – Government of Pakistan — “Sitara-e-Imtiaz”

Sadequain was a master genius of his own self-inspired school of thought and different from other great artists like Michael Angelo and Leonardo de Vinci. This fact was proved later by the performance presented by him in his early life. Like many other masters he too was completely obscure, until he was noticed, hand –picked and appreciated by the notable lover of arts Mr. Hussain Shaheed Suhrawardy. It is natural that a true genius sees the limelight once and then the “limelight” itself focuses on him and seldom misses him till the last day. He had stepped into the open world to breathe and expose his talents independently – and this he did with utmost honesty without being distracted by worldly glamour.

Sadequain projected his abilities and hidden talents by his masterly performance in his mid twenties. This comparative quicker recognition laid the foundation and encouraged him to present his true inner feelings in his artworks. Soon he created his own independent place in the world that remained still unmatched, in certain aspects, during his lifetime and even after. He was only 30 years when he received his first award in 1960 and 32 years when the French Government decorated him.

Sadequain was one of the most hard-working artists that the world has seen. His non-stop untiring career was very unusual for all his critics too. Wealth had least attraction for him and avoided to paint for the rich. He preferred to gift away thousands of his art productions instead of selling. Numerous works were stolen and he least bothered about them.

He believed in realism and lycricism. He was miles away from imaginary fairytale, flower and fona themes and stuck to basic worldly realities till his last day. The Novice style of his presentation of Quranic and Poetic verses created an everlasting impact on Pakistani Art. The non-existant calligraphy has changed into a culture and this new introduction is still flourishing beyond bounds and spreading inspiration worldwide, even after a quarter century beyond his death. Now his style and his paintings are also being copied extensively in Pakistan. Infact this piracy is promoting his school of thought, unnoticed.

Sadequain once saw a tough cactus tree growing and flourishing in a desert. He was spiritually impressed by the difficult lifestyle in extreme tough surroundings of this self-growing plant. This impression is often reflected in Sadequain’s tough and rugged human figures that seem unnatural, but actually he intended to expose the rigid uneven patterns of the life spent by the deprived. His works and productions are discernable and can easily be singled out. His unique independent style, objective concepts and presentation modes cannot be stolen by just putting on new names – but can only be copied along with his signatures.

Murals

The most difficult and impressive works of Sadequain were the long spans of walls and ceilings painted under different themes of social nature. Surprisingly most of these were donated free of cost, although these could have fetched millions. Some of these are ranked longest and largest in the world. His murals mostly carried closely knitted images and fine details filling every inch available, which in itself is a unique quality aspect. He painted to his satisfaction and did extreme justice to the subject in production – but in his own inspirational style.

The following are a few of his memorable works and exhibitions;

1954 – Solo Exhibition in Quetta, Pakistan

1955 – Mural at Jinnah Hospital, Solo Exhibition at Frere Hall and at residence of Mr. Suhrawady.

1986 – Mural at Frere Hall titled as “Arz-o-Samawat” (heaven and earth)

The above fantastic monumental murals in vast spans of art were specific and special feature that has no parallel yet in Pakistan. He completed about 35 hefty murals in his lifetime. However some of them have gone missing with no trace.

These historical works are now time fading and show signs and scars. The institutions responsible are not doing much to save these treasures, which want to see another “Sadequain” to restore them back to their original position.

Sadequain very successfully illustrated world renowned poets. He was invited to France to illustrate Nobel Prize winner Albert Camus. He being inspired, also adequately painted other poets like Mirza Ghalib, Faiz and Muhammed Iqbal (“Aftaab-e-Taaja”9’ x 6’). He also himself expressed his feelings verbally in somber notes and published “Quartets” and “Rubaiyats” that are considered of high class and appreciated. His verbal reflections also described the basic realities of this tough life as did his artwork.

Sadequain was a true genius. This quality is visible in all his art productions and calligraphic masterpieces. He did not follow any traditions and rather initiated his specific school of thought. His own style legacy will continue to inspire future artists and calligraphers of modern times. His this vivid transformations of words, verses and feeling of the others to the canvas in detail, will remain his domain unmatched for decades to come.

The ultimate mastermind developed unique ideas to project his observations. He painted Crow series that depicted the worthy and timid wealth worshipers loosing self respect to achieve their selfish ends. The Cobwebs series of paintings showed prevailing social mindset where cobweb render society speechless and inactive by mal practices of the powerful. Similarly Christ Series projected crime being committed under the nose of the law enforcers. Such realistic and bold projections could only have been made by a true at heart Sadequain.

Sadequain loved to paint his heart out. His masterpiece redention of “Sura-e-Rehman”, a Quranic chapter, was auctioned in London for $108’000. This new art version inspired many painters worldwide. He could have amassed millions from his uncountable paintings and even scribbings. But he stuck to his nature and preferred a continued striving life. Otherwise the world would have lost a true genius and missed uncountable masterpieces of art. Nature is never unjust and rewards people according to their mindset. There is no doubt about the fact that world progresses by the selfless hard work of a few geniuses who sacrifice their leisure and pleasures to benefit the selfish mankind, who seldom find time to pay homage to these actual Ultimate Heroes.

The Electronic media ran a TV documentary series “Mojiza-e-Fun”. This highlighted extensively the different aspects of the mastermind Sadequain and his masterpieces that were exhibited worldwide. A book “The holy sinner” in (2003) comprised of 700 pages and displayed over 400 paintings and his works of art. This huge unprecedented tribute to one artist is unique in South Asia.

The Pakistan Post office issued a 10 stamp sheet let commemorating Sadequain and 9 other artists.

The Pakistan Newspapers often carry special features on him.

The French Le Monde appreciates his talents comparing him to famous Picasso.

The New York times describes his difficult artistic trends as “Upside Down Artist”, Sadequain and calls him Pakistan’s Pride.

UAE News appreciates his tremendous success and comments that crowds are attracted to all his exhibitions.

The ultimate Pakistani Art Legend ‘Sadequain’ breathed his last on 10th February, 1987, leaving his last mural “Arzo-Samawat” (Heaven and Earth) at Frere Hall Karachi, incomplete.

The history of enjoying rides above the ground by humans dates back beyond the stone ages. Man copied the monkeys and the guerrillas as they hung from branches and swung tree to tree chasing companions. The invention of trains and the introduction of rail- tracks in the joy-land parks laid the bases of modern roller coaster thrill rides. These hundreds of feet high above track humps and miles of fast turns and twists have become the main attractions in all amusement parks today. The thrill ride’s popularity is bestowed to the precision design that ensures safety and security of the rider and smooth functioning of the coasters. However the stability of the super structures facilitates faster speeds, steep falls and intricate twists for maximum thrilling experiences.

Insanity: Stratosphere Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas

Behold Yourself: The scary thrill is not limited to roller coasters only. Insanity offers the scariest of all thrill swing rides at the roof top. The centrifuge swing extends to over 60 feet beyond the side edge of the sleek hotel tower. The spin speed is over 40mph when the seats-arms open outwards to 70 degree angle to provide the ultimate scariest experience of the city view and the road 900 feet below.

Fahrenheit: Hershey Park, Hershey, Pennsylvania

Behold Yourself: This lift coaster comprises a unique vertical loop that goes up 121 feet before plunging steeply down in a stomach-turning 97-degree negative drop. The steepest in the USA, the descending track simply vanishes from sight giving a suspended surge thrill and of a freefall. The riders continue to test their tolerance as they pass a 107 foot inverted loop, a spine twisting inverted corkscrew roll, cobra and S-roll. Moreover high speed stomach-floating banked curves carry all to the end of the thrills that takes about 85 seconds only.

X 2: Los Angeles, CA, USA

After massive refurbishing in 2007, it became more thrilling by induction of $10million jiggering equipments. The new audio visual effects, immerse tunnels, trains that extended seats off-track to sides that enabled riders to rotate themselves independently head over heals, forwards and backwards— rendering mind- bending 4 dimensional effects.

The Riddler’s Revenge

Behold Yourself: A very extraordinary fast roller coaster provides extreme effects but this time all activity happens while you are standing and racing at 65mph. A real thrilling extravaganza comprising 150 foot, 360 degree vertical and oblique loops, two over-the-top diving loops and 150 foot long barrel roll.

A safari park is an added attraction for those who are less bold. The drive through wild-park holds all variety of animals.

The park holds alternate attraction for the less enterprising. The Australian Big Brother House maintains caged wild life shows and the Tiger Island Dream world holds big-cat habitat.

Expedition Ge Force, Holiday Park, Habloch, Rhineland, Germany

Those looking for a still milder thrill can opt for the Light House Tower that is a circular swing. But remember this too is taller than expected———-300 feet above ground.

Cedar Point Amusement Park, Sandusky, Ohio

It runs at 70mph giving eight airtime filled hills including countless twists and turns. The 2.5 minute full of joy ride holds an unusual surprise for the riders.

Saddam Hussain is reported to have robbed the Central Bank of Iraq taking US$1.00 billion in one day, just before the U.S. troops bombed Iraq in 2003. This was mostly recovered from the walls of his palace. The banks General Manager also confirms of another independent robbery by professionals that amounted to US$250 million and 18 billion Iraqi dinars.
Saddam Husain is also said to have paid he son Qusay an amount of US$950 million through a hand written note, who transferred the money by trucks.
Kent Securities Depot (2006) Robbery
This robbery is stated to be the largest cash hype in England. This heist was well considered and planned. The depot manager was abducted when on way home on 21st February. The robbers were disguised and shifted to a seemingly police car. He was hand-cuffed and taken to an unknown farm. Simultaneously, his eight year old son and his wife were made hostage in their house. The wife was tricked by a misstated accident and was shifted to the unknown farm also. The depot manager was now fully under pressure for his family security and was forced to cooperate.
The whole family was taken to the Securities Cash Management Ltd. Depot at Tonbridge, Kent, at 1.00 pm. They were allowed in and the thieves rounded up all the staff at gunpoint. The robbers took about an hour to complete the loot. The alarm was raised later and the police unbound them all. The heist totaled US$90 million and nothing stands recovered yet.

The Boston Museum (1990) Robbery

The Boston Museum was deprived of some very unusual Art Treasures in 1990. The huge loss of the world renowned, irreplaceable and valuable paintings was estimated over US$300 million.
Two unarmed robbers, dressed as policemen managed entry into the museum at 1.00 am. on 18th March just after celebrations on St. Patrick’s Day. This late hour entry remained unexplained by the security head. The door guards were immediately over-powered, knocked down and handcuffed in the basement. The robbers stayed for 1.5 hours collecting their booty of prized paintings. This included 3 Rembrandts and a Chinese Bronze Beaker. They cut away the canvas cruelly from near the frames, while hanging. They stacked away “Landscape with an Obelisk” by Govaert Flinck and “The Concert” by Vermeer. They ripped 5 Degas sketches from the short gallery and a Manet Portrait from the Blue room. They flew away the Bronze Eagle that adorned the Napoleon flag mast. These untidy robbers ransacked the museum wonders like Rembrandts only seascape “Storm on the Galilee”. The painting was cut hastily leaving ragged edges of canvas that are in tact in the empty hanging frames at the museum. The small museum was not insured unfortunately and had to bear the loss. The surveillance tape was also snatched away during the heist. Nothing is known of any recovery made till date.
The security deposit is situated in Westminster in London. Two prospective ‘clients’ entered the Knightsbridge Safe Deposit Center on 12th July to rent a safe deposit box. As soon they entered the vault, they immediately subdued the manager at gunpoint along with the guards. The shrewd thieves hung a sign outside the vault saying “vault closed temporally” and invited more of their accomplices. They broke open the safe boxes and left with an estimated hoard of over US$70 million at the time. They escaped quietly.

After some time one of the guards could free himself and raised the alarm. The fingerprints led the investigators to an Italian Valerio Vicei who was arrested after surveillance along with his several accomplices on 12th August 1987.

Banco Central in Brazil (2005) Burglary
The classical event had big adventure element built-in. The Banco Central was entrusted the control of money supply. They had accumulated huge amount of used unsequel currency notes. These were being segregated for recirculation and destruction.
The burglars planned it well. They rented a house nearby and placed a sign of ‘Landscaping Company selling Grass”, to cover up their motives. They dug a 250 feet tunnel to a place beneath the bank. Van loads of mud were transported and nobody suspected anything because of their name displayed. The 2.5 feet square tunnel was laid 13 feet deep and had its lighting system and was wood-lined.
Between 6 and 7 August weekend the gang broke through ONE meter thick steel/concrete wall to enter the bank vault. This was a big massy affair as the total money weighed about 3.5 tons. The total worth was reported about US$70 millions.
The police arrested 5 persons and recovered about $5.5 millions. These persons had helped dig the tunnel as well. The mastermind was found shot dead on 22nd October. So far only$7 millions stand recovered while $63 million still remain at large.

Northern Bank (2004) Robbery

The Northern Bank, Belfast Headquarters was robbed off a huge amount in cash on 20th December. The gang members went to the home of two bank officers disguised as police men and held their families at gunpoint on Sunday evening. The officials were instructed to report at bank as usual and cooperate to save their families. They did so and stayed busy after business hours admitting the gang members in.
The bank carried huge cash for ATMs and Christmas in store. Soon the money was loaded in several vehicles including one ‘luton’ van. The gang left releasing the families also. The amount looted comprised of Ten million pounds of uncirculated bank notes along with some other currency notes. Reportedly the Northern Ireland proficient group was suspected for the heist.
The British and Irish governments developed frictions over this one of the biggest cash robbery in British history. Everything remained confused by politics and nothing was known of it.

Brinks Mat Warehouse (1983) Burglary

The burglary was a planned event and occurred at Heathrow Airport on 26 November 1983. The gang entered the warehouse with the help of security guard Anthony Black. He was related to the gangs’ master mind Brian Robinson. The burglars were expecting booty of 3 million pounds but instead landed on Ten tonnes of gold bullion worth 26 million pounds. They loaded the gold and fled away. One of the gang had links with a genuine gold dealer in Bristol. He melted the gold to recast it for sale. Soon huge amounts of money passing through a Bristol bank were reported to police. Meanwhile the Scotland Yard found the clue and Black confessed for having helped the raiders. The main culprits were sentenced to 25 years jail and Black got 6 years. In 1986 Nove was fined 700000 pounds with 14 years in jail, for conspiring and handling Brinks Mat gold. Three tons of gold was never traced that had been sold.

The Great Train Robbery (1963)

The great train robbery was made at Bridgego Railway Bridge in Buckinghamshire, England. The Royal Mails’ Travelling Post Office (TPO) train was stopped by signal tampering. Bruce Reynolds led his 15 member gang. They stole 2.3 million pounds in small currency notes. This incident was quite peaceful as only the driver was hit on the head and injured.
The police tracked them soon from their fingerprints at their hideout at Leatherslade Farm. 13 robbers were caught, tried and imprisoned. One Ronnie Biggs escaped from prison and is still at large. The last of the lot, Charlie Wilson had settled in Canada on Rigaud Mountain in complete privacy. His wife made a mistake of calling her mother back in England, and was tracked down by Scotland Yard.

Dunbar Armored (1997) Robbery

The Dunbar Armored robbery in Los Angeles, California is rated the largest cash haul in United States. It occurred on 13th September 1997. The amount involved was about US$19 million. This proved to be an inside man’s job, Allen Pace who worked there as a safety inspector. He planned and recruited 5 friends for the robbery.
He knew all the security measures and how he could avoid the cameras and so on. He and his accomplices entered on Friday night, using his keys. He knew the vault would remain open due to huge money movements on Fridays. All of them rushed to the vault and subdued the guards before they could raise the alarm. The U-haul was waiting and in very little time the high denomination notes were loaded. Pace knew the bags that contained the non sequence notes. He also snatched the security camera recording devices.
The police suspected staff involvement and also watched Pace. The gang members were cautious in their spending. However, one member gave a colleague a pack of bills in its original strap wrapping and was immediately tracked by police. All the robbers were arrested and Pace was sentenced to 24 years jail. Only about half of the total money was recovered.

Lufthansa (1978) Burglary

The Lufthansa burglary was a pre planned one. The master mind was Jimmy Burke but the idea was generated by Martin Krugman. He had been tipped off by one Louis Werner, who owed Martin $20000 through gambling debt. He told him that huge amount of money is taken to West Germany for exchange and that it is stored at Kennedy Airport in card board vault.

On 11th December at 3 AM. a van was noticed parking near the vault by a guard. He was struck, disarmed and told to disarm the silent alarm, and handcuffed there after. Another guard who heard noise was also overpowered and handcuffed. They took hold of more employees at gunpoint and rounded up all the rest at the cafeteria to clear their operation. The burglars then summoned Rudi Eirich by intercom on some emergency pretext. He was the only one who knew the codes to open the double door vault. At his first sight they surrounded him with guns and let him see the bounded employees in the cafeteria. They hurried him downstairs to open the vault. Eirich was surprised to see the burglars knew the security systems and the precautions. They did not let him open the vault second door until the outer door was closed to avoid the alarm. As soon the vault was open they sorted the invoices to select the parcels that contained money. Forty parcels were loaded. Eirich was asked to close the vault taking cautions and was tied down firmly. During loading one burglar’s mask slipped and showed his glimpse. All the employees were warned that their families would be hurt if they told police anything. The alarm was sounded at 4.30 AM. The burglary was reported to be worth US$5 million in cash and $875000 in jewels. The whole proceedings took one hour only. No arrests were made.

This sports car was introduced by the Italian automaker Lamborghini to be later referred as a supercar. The flagship marketing of Lamborghini comes as one of the best in the Italian automaker’s line up. Murciélago is one of the super high performance cars that come with a dual coupe. This powerful car has been engineered and designed to perfection with its V12 engine and roadster version. This was introduced back in 2004. The re-edited version was again introduced in 2001 to be released forth as the 2002 model. This was a huge concept coming as the successor to the famed Diablo.

The Diablo based supercar was based on the 1st design of these greatest car lines. Later there came the 1st next great design under the ownership of the Audi. Murciélago was named after a famed Spanish fighting bull. The car got stylized under the Peruvian born Belgian Luc Donckerwolke. He stayed Lamborghini’s head designer since 1998 to 2005.

Lamborghini’s tradition has been bringing forth great cars that are akin to their old fashioned fighting bull techniques. They bring them all tough and ready for good, old speed. The Murciélago was in fact named after a bull fighting master who happened to survive 24 sword strokes. This fight was held again Rafael El Lagartijo Molina Sanchez held at Coso de los califas in Spain. At the time bull fighting was one of the serious means of extending your valor. This particular bull that came from Joaquin’s farm was gifted to Don Antonio Miura for its huge prestige and powerful nature. This is how the line of the famed Miura line of fighter bulls came into the mainstream. More than a century later Lamborghini was about to find some of the best cars under their belt with the same name.

Murciélago has also been the name for the flying bat. With all these etymological information to their name, the expected characteristics of their cars can be well discerned.

As the 1st generation of Murciélago, this 4-wheel drive car is a typical sports car with a powerful backing. It has some super features that include scissor doors and an exotic image. The differential integration to the engine unit could be onto a six-speed manual or a feature of carbon and fiber steel bodywork. The rear spoiler nicely scoops the air and electro-mechanically activates the folds from the body. This brings forth great speed for the car and a high class aerodynamic performance. The engine also cools well and this leads to make it a highly progressive and strong car. It has a central viscous coupler with the 6.2 liter V12 engine. The body is quite low slung with the roof rising 4 feet above the ground level. The model has an exotic and attractive built.

The 40th anniversary edition of this car is really special with its Pferdestarke (German) or horse strength; a unit of power generally known in Europe. The engine produces just about 580 PS and is commonly used across Europe. The engine powers on well enough and brings about a speed of 60 mph or 97 km/hr. in right about 3.8 seconds. The 1st generations came between 2001 and 2006. The subsequent versions had engine output with the original cars being LP 580 and in line with the later conventions.

The Roadster version came at 2004 and then as a 2005 model. The design was directed and advised by Donckerwolke who had a B-2 stealth bomber style worked on it. This was totally new and innovative, something that got stellar attention.
