It is not okay when you see this, trust me this beach is not like others that give you pleasures of water and fun at the seaside only, this is as good and colorful as it looks in the images below. And it normally said that it was actually one man’s mistake that made this happen over the time.

It was started from 20th century from Fort Bragg residents who used to throw the garbage and other wasted household items from the cliff towards the beach which is now called ‘the glass beach’. This is hard to believe that this is happening today, there was a time when people used to dump all types of junk materials into the ocean even cars, which also have glass.

In the beginning of 1949, it became a usual dumping area where neighboring people used to dump their waste, it even made piles of it, there on, burning it all, was the solution to reduce the mess on the beach. Later on in 1967, the government officials sealed the area and closed for entrance. However, in the following decades the strong waves clear the beach by taking all the dumped junk into the oceans bed and by bringing small and smooth sprinkling glass pieces that has covered the beach today.
This is how it looks like. Is it true or not, nobody is too sure about this story today, but it is however it’s done. If you know the whole story or some other information, do share with me.

Historical Origin of Language

Humans have been created with a unique DIFFERENTIATING FACTOR with super qualities, from the animals in general. Only humans can Think, Plan surroundings and Improve or Change their life-styles to look NEW from original setup. They have also been bestowed with far improved sense of speech to convey thoughts and to communicate with others. They made specific sounds that were copied by others to repeat the same message. Each different sound represented an action, feeling or name of a thing or animal.

This unwritten first vocabulary, increased over long periods by the whole group living together and latter adopted by the adjoining communities over larger areas, through unconscious intimate counseling. This is considered early crude form of Speech and a means of contact totally unlike animals. In the 20th.century Charles Sanders Peirce named this conversion as ‘SEMIOSES’ while Roman Jacobson terms it a process of ‘Coding and Encoding of information’. Some experts link the sounds with ‘reasoning’ but some argue that ‘logic and reasoning’ were recognized much latter. However, all the authors agree that these specific sounds adopted, to represent a feeling, thing or animal was a result of mutual understanding within a society, like today’s conventions that are beyond individual interference.

ADAM (PBUH) descended from Heavens and roamed freely everywhere reaching all the corners of the earth, as the theories state. He settled his off-spring, the MANKIND, where ever he went. This created independent and completely isolated pockets of the human race groups. The natural result of this huge spread of starlet individual colonies covering the planet was that today we hear hundreds of different languages, life-styles and living habits. By contrast people of faraway regions are easily recognized by their physical, facial and physic differences. Their speech sounds and languages are varied beyond any doubt. Similar sounds carry new meanings in various regions.

Speech and Language Development

The speech development continued with the introduction of new ways to remember and teach the sounds to the young, by the then experts, Ancient Grammarians. This led to correlating sounds to written symbol or symbols put together to form one word or sentence. This conversion from Sound to Symbol was the initial form of written Language. When we observe the symbol pattern, forming a language, they differ in entirety when conveying the same meaning in different countries. The alphabets do not resemble when we compare Russian, Chinese, English, Hindi, Urdu, Greek and Arabic languages, to mention a few. These all continued to develop in their own styles, as the time passed. The introduction of grammar made the messages clear and precise, avoiding dual meanings. The Indian grammarian Panini became active as early as 5th. Century BC introducing nearly 4000 rules in the Sanskrit while the Tamil Tolkappiyar did equal hard-work in the 2nd.Century, BC. The Arabic linguist, Sibawayh, performed this extremely professional feat in 760 AD in the Middle East. The western linguists realized such a need of articulatory phonetics, like verbs, commas, adjectives etc. for a language much latter. In the 16th to 18th century the Sanskrit literature inspired the scholars and educators like Roger Ascham, Wolfgang Ratke, John Amos Comenius, William Jones, Friedrich Schlegel, Franz Bopp and others. The most reputed in this respect is the author of ‘Deutsche Grammatik’ (great scientific linguistic works), Jacob Grimm.

Animal life-style

All the other animal creatures live, reproduce, eat, sleep, dominate others, hunt and   be hunted and die the same way they did thousands and millions of years ago. They exhibit limited rigid intelligence that governs their lives. We observe that the animals change/adopt eating habits in scarcity of food or when tamed and trained. They follow limited human commands, with a risk to revert to original aggressiveness at any moment. The learning shown cannot be repeated by them or conveyed to their own kind. Living among humans does not mean they will learn to talk or wear clothes like them.

An Ultimate Gift and Blessing

God has blessed only the humans with the ULTIMATE MIND. It can think ‘changes’, read between the lines to ponder for solutions, create innovations and forecast the near future for safety and progress. Aristotle believed that speech and language was always within the intrinsic nature of man. A God gifted instinct built in human philosophy and politic just like senses of good and evil. The believers of The Devine Holy Scriptures are firm in that when Adam (pbuh) was misguided by the devil, while in Heaven and faulted. God descended him on earth, very confused and distressed, not knowing what to do. God Himself taught him how to seek pardon and thus his sin was condoned after an earnest prayer. This is proof enough that Adam possessed the ability to speak and his children definitely inherited it.

Thomas Hobbs and others stand by Aristotle to declare that speech and language is a part of human nature and a pre-requisite for social living where contact, communication, contract and discussion are a must. But most are convinced that learning became possible in response to an initial impulse infused by God, who also taught the names of all the creatures that Adam came across. However, the numbers, colors, figures and measures etc. were apprehended much latter by the ‘NEED’, the mother of all innovations.

The average readers should know that the formation of words and their derivatives also went through a long scrutiny and selection process including grammar that we see today. The linguistic experts have now divided the communication process under various headings. Each is for specific use, utility and simplicity.

• International auxiliary languages.
• Programming languages.

The Tropical storm ‘Agatha’ is known for playing havoc on land and shorelines of Central America recently. Now the experts seem convinced that it can also play destructive role underground, triggering the collapse of the 2nd Sink Hole in the Guatemala City. The present hole is over 60 feet (17meters) wide and over 300 feet (95 meters) deep. This seemingly perfect round hole simply swallowed an entire three-story building in no time.

According to David de Leon of Conred, the disaster management Agency, the experts are now worried  that this hole may widen further and there seems to be no immediate remedy except to evacuate the surrounding buildings to save some 300 people living around it.

GUATEMALA CITY – Sink-Hole Formation

Jonathan Martin, geologist in University of Florida and Currens of University of Kentucky opines that Sinkholes typically appear where the subsoil is mostly limestone that can easily be eroded by water. The experts describe the formation of sinkholes takes months or even years. The water seepage downwards slowly dissolves the limestone bedrock subsoil and forms huge cavities below the top surface that remains normal. This huge roof over the empty space is now without any support. When the cavity below, grows larger the mere weight of the top layer could collapse it. But usually groundwater and sewer seepages through holes or cracks or otherwise, keep on saturating this top layer. Also heavy rains after long draughts soak the mud   to an extent that the increased weight of top, forces the land mass to fall suddenly without any prior indications.

The experts estimate the water may have been accumulating in the surface layer over a period and the Agatha storm poured in additional heavy amounts (three feet rainfall at places) of water to speed-up and trigger the collapse.

GUATEMALA CITY – First Sink Hole – 2007

This giant Sinkhole was also over 300 feet deep and consumed several houses and killed three people. The experts had determined the possible cause as a burst sewer pipe that saturated the soil in the surrounding area with water. This giant well was filled in by large stones and all sorts of debris to strengthen the subsoil. The disaster was a big challenge for Guatemala.

A Building Swallowed

The new sinkhole is so big that a three story building was swallowed in no time. The house was being used as a factory. The wire poles and a security guard vanished with it. The neighbors around the hole-site faced sudden blackout that night and saw the awful death trap the next morning. They are worried about the potential danger of the hole growing larger and that nothing could be done to seal it quickly. The authorities see no alternative but to shift the 300 residents of the danger area to safer places before starting the remedial work.

Central Bank of Iraq (2003) Robbery
Saddam Hussain is reported to have robbed the Central Bank of Iraq taking US$1.00 billion in one day, just before the U.S. troops bombed Iraq in 2003. This was mostly recovered from the walls of his palace. The banks General Manager also confirms of another independent robbery by professionals that amounted to US$250 million and 18 billion Iraqi dinars.
Saddam Husain is also said to have paid he son Qusay an amount of US$950 million through a hand written note, who transferred the money by trucks. This amount was never recovered even after Qusay was killed by U.S. troops while fighting. This is the biggest heist so far.

Kent Securities Depot (2006) Robbery
This robbery is stated to be the largest cash hype in England. This heist was well considered and planned. The depot manager was abducted when on way home on 21st February. The robbers were disguised and shifted to a seemingly police car. He was hand-cuffed and taken to an unknown farm. Simultaneously, his eight year old son and his wife were made hostage in their house. The wife was tricked by a misstated accident and was shifted to the unknown farm also. The depot manager was now fully under pressure for his family security and was forced to cooperate.
The whole family was taken to the Securities Cash Management Ltd. Depot at Tonbridge, Kent, at 1.00 pm. They were allowed in and the thieves rounded up all the staff at gunpoint. The robbers took about an hour to complete the loot. The alarm was raised later and the police unbound them all. The heist totaled US$90 million and nothing stands recovered yet.

The Boston Museum (1990) Robbery

The Boston Museum was deprived of some very unusual Art Treasures in 1990. The huge loss of the world renowned, irreplaceable and valuable paintings was estimated over US$300 million.
Two unarmed robbers, dressed as policemen managed entry into the museum at 1.00 am. on 18th March just after celebrations on St. Patrick’s Day. This late hour entry remained unexplained by the security head. The door guards were immediately over-powered, knocked down and handcuffed in the basement. The robbers stayed for 1.5 hours collecting their booty of prized paintings. This included 3 Rembrandts and a Chinese Bronze Beaker. They cut away the canvas cruelly from near the frames, while hanging. They stacked away “Landscape with an Obelisk” by Govaert Flinck and “The Concert” by Vermeer. They ripped 5 Degas sketches from the short gallery and a Manet Portrait from the Blue room. They flew away the Bronze Eagle that adorned the Napoleon flag mast. These untidy robbers ransacked the museum wonders like Rembrandts only seascape “Storm on the Galilee”. The painting was cut hastily leaving ragged edges of canvas that are in tact in the empty hanging frames at the museum. The small museum was not insured unfortunately and had to bear the loss. The surveillance tape was also snatched away during the heist. Nothing is known of any recovery made till date.

Knightsbridge Security Deposit (1987) Robbery
The security deposit is situated in Westminster in London. Two prospective ‘clients’ entered the Knightsbridge Safe Deposit Center on 12th July to rent a safe deposit box. As soon they entered the vault, they immediately subdued the manager at gunpoint along with the guards. The shrewd thieves hung a sign outside the vault saying “vault closed temporally” and invited more of their accomplices. They broke open the safe boxes and left with an estimated hoard of over US$70 million at the time. They escaped quietly.

After some time one of the guards could free himself and raised the alarm. The fingerprints led the investigators to an Italian Valerio Vicei who was arrested after surveillance along with his several accomplices on 12th August 1987.

Banco Central in Brazil (2005) Burglary
The classical event had big adventure element built-in. The Banco Central was entrusted the control of money supply. They had accumulated huge amount of used unsequel currency notes. These were being segregated for recirculation and destruction.
The burglars planned it well. They rented a house nearby and placed a sign of ‘Landscaping Company selling Grass”, to cover up their motives. They dug a 250 feet tunnel to a place beneath the bank. Van loads of mud were transported and nobody suspected anything because of their name displayed. The 2.5 feet square tunnel was laid 13 feet deep and had its lighting system and was wood-lined.
Between 6 and 7 August weekend the gang broke through ONE meter thick steel/concrete wall to enter the bank vault. This was a big massy affair as the total money weighed about 3.5 tons. The total worth was reported about US$70 millions.
The police arrested 5 persons and recovered about $5.5 millions. These persons had helped dig the tunnel as well. The mastermind was found shot dead on 22nd October. So far only$7 millions stand recovered while $63 million still remain at large.

Northern Bank (2004) Robbery

The Northern Bank, Belfast Headquarters was robbed off a huge amount in cash on 20th December. The gang members went to the home of two bank officers disguised as police men and held their families at gunpoint on Sunday evening. The officials were instructed to report at bank as usual and cooperate to save their families. They did so and stayed busy after business hours admitting the gang members in.
The bank carried huge cash for ATMs and Christmas in store. Soon the money was loaded in several vehicles including one ‘luton’ van. The gang left releasing the families also. The amount looted comprised of Ten million pounds of uncirculated bank notes along with some other currency notes. Reportedly the Northern Ireland proficient group was suspected for the heist.
The British and Irish governments developed frictions over this one of the biggest cash robbery in British history. Everything remained confused by politics and nothing was known of it.

Brinks Mat Warehouse (1983) Burglary

The burglary was a planned event and occurred at Heathrow Airport on 26 November 1983. The gang entered the warehouse with the help of security guard Anthony Black. He was related to the gangs’ master mind Brian Robinson. The burglars were expecting booty of 3 million pounds but instead landed on Ten tonnes of gold bullion worth 26 million pounds. They loaded the gold and fled away. One of the gang had links with a genuine gold dealer in Bristol. He melted the gold to recast it for sale. Soon huge amounts of money passing through a Bristol bank were reported to police. Meanwhile the Scotland Yard found the clue and Black confessed for having helped the raiders. The main culprits were sentenced to 25 years jail and Black got 6 years. In 1986 Nove was fined 700000 pounds with 14 years in jail, for conspiring and handling Brinks Mat gold. Three tons of gold was never traced that had been sold.

The Great Train Robbery (1963)

The great train robbery was made at Bridgego Railway Bridge in Buckinghamshire, England. The Royal Mails’ Travelling Post Office (TPO) train was stopped by signal tampering. Bruce Reynolds led his 15 member gang. They stole 2.3 million pounds in small currency notes. This incident was quite peaceful as only the driver was hit on the head and injured.
The police tracked them soon from their fingerprints at their hideout at Leatherslade Farm. 13 robbers were caught, tried and imprisoned. One Ronnie Biggs escaped from prison and is still at large. The last of the lot, Charlie Wilson had settled in Canada on Rigaud Mountain in complete privacy. His wife made a mistake of calling her mother back in England, and was tracked down by Scotland Yard.

Dunbar Armored (1997) Robbery

The Dunbar Armored robbery in Los Angeles, California is rated the largest cash haul in United States. It occurred on 13th September 1997. The amount involved was about US$19 million. This proved to be an inside man’s job, Allen Pace who worked there as a safety inspector. He planned and recruited 5 friends for the robbery.
He knew all the security measures and how he could avoid the cameras and so on. He and his accomplices entered on Friday night, using his keys. He knew the vault would remain open due to huge money movements on Fridays. All of them rushed to the vault and subdued the guards before they could raise the alarm. The U-haul was waiting and in very little time the high denomination notes were loaded. Pace knew the bags that contained the non sequence notes. He also snatched the security camera recording devices.
The police suspected staff involvement and also watched Pace. The gang members were cautious in their spending. However, one member gave a colleague a pack of bills in its original strap wrapping and was immediately tracked by police. All the robbers were arrested and Pace was sentenced to 24 years jail. Only about half of the total money was recovered.

Lufthansa (1978) Burglary

The Lufthansa burglary was a pre planned one. The master mind was Jimmy Burke but the idea was generated by Martin Krugman. He had been tipped off by one Louis Werner, who owed Martin $20000 through gambling debt. He told him that huge amount of money is taken to West Germany for exchange and that it is stored at Kennedy Airport in card board vault.

On 11th December at 3 AM. a van was noticed parking near the vault by a guard. He was struck, disarmed and told to disarm the silent alarm, and handcuffed there after. Another guard who heard noise was also overpowered and handcuffed. They took hold of more employees at gunpoint and rounded up all the rest at the cafeteria to clear their operation. The burglars then summoned Rudi Eirich by intercom on some emergency pretext. He was the only one who knew the codes to open the double door vault. At his first sight they surrounded him with guns and let him see the bounded employees in the cafeteria. They hurried him downstairs to open the vault. Eirich was surprised to see the burglars knew the security systems and the precautions. They did not let him open the vault second door until the outer door was closed to avoid the alarm. As soon the vault was open they sorted the invoices to select the parcels that contained money. Forty parcels were loaded. Eirich was asked to close the vault taking cautions and was tied down firmly. During loading one burglar’s mask slipped and showed his glimpse. All the employees were warned that their families would be hurt if they told police anything. The alarm was sounded at 4.30 AM. The burglary was reported to be worth US$5 million in cash and $875000 in jewels. The whole proceedings took one hour only. No arrests were made.
